Coffee is mostly consumed beverage among all n the
world. There are millions of coffee lovers found in every country. Due to this
huge amount of coffee lover’s coffee quality should not be compromised. Now a
day’s different brands are introduced in every country and providing quality
coffee beverages that are rich in taste and flavor and liked and loved by all
coffee lovers.
Quality of coffee beans also depends on the way in
which it is grown, harvested and dried. There are many ways that are used for
producing coffee beans. The main factors that affect the quality of coffee
beans are climatic
requirements, tree size, yield pattern, berry size and disease resistance
.
Their are different drying processes that can be used like sun drying or mechanical hot air drying, and preferably on shade netting. By drying, 13% to 15% moisture content is reduced. Sun drying method of coffee seeds is cheap and it makes slightly higher-quality product but it requires much labour, space and time. The coffee must be laid 2,5 cm thick and turned every hour.
The difference in quality is a
function of the ecological condition of its cultivation origin, including
soils, climate & altitude the best coffees are Arabicas that are grown
under shade at optimum altitudes, which vary according to latitude.
